My Childhood 'Sent Home from School with Another Asthma Attack' Game
This game brings back memories... Only as an adult can I really appreciate the star studded voice cast (Jeff Goldblum, Whoopi Goldberg, and Glenn Close
...
for goodness sake!). I had been pretty sick when I first played this game, so the details are a little fuzzy, but gosh I loved it. Honestly, as much as this game was educational, I really remember loving it's graphics and the characters - they were so alive compared to the pixel art sprites I was accustomed to. It never felt like the game was one of those standard question and answer educational games of the time - there were stakes and danger and mystery for my middle school self to get lost in all while learning about asthma triggers and management. This game made a very frightening part of my childhood less so, especially since Perfuma was probably my lesbian awakening (so uh, thanks for that Gwyneth Paltrow [I guess?]).
